SENOMUOJA & CO was established in 1975 to carry on business as Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

S. E. NOMUOJA & COhas a history of being one of the pioneering indigenous firms of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators to be established in Nigeria NOT affiliated to any firm of auditors or lawyers,i.e. it is not an appendage of any other firm, solely dedicated to providing excellent, innovative, high-quality Secretarial and Administrative Services at all times and committed to the overall growth of its clients and prospective clients

Our Team 

LEGAL ADVISER

She joined the Firm in April 2011 as a Legal Adviser.
She has over 15 years legal experience having  graduated from the University of Nigeria, with an LL.B (Honours) degree in 1997 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Lagos in 2002. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators United Kingdom. She is currently the Mobilization Secretary of the Lagos state Chapter of ICSAN.

The areas of her competence include Company Secretarial and commercial law, property law, secured credit transactions, tax matters.

She has attended various relevant seminars and conferences including seminars relating to corporate governance, board matters and general company management skills. She is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, United Kingdom.

Her wealth of experience includes the following areas of law:

Company secretary, Legal Advisory, Legal and Regulatory,Contractual documents, Negotiations and settlement of disputes: She is well versed in the act of negotiations and settlement of disputes, Debt recovery, Legal Audit.

  • She also advises clients on stock broking and securities matters, and has also perfected various property transactions at the requisite Registries in Nigeria.
  • Her other works include preparing and review of various agreements such as Joint venture Agreements, Guarantees and Indemnity Agreements.

She is very detailed, oriented and a viable asset to our company and we are confident that

she will add value to your organisation.

Managing  Partner

She is a graduate of the University of Lagos, where she obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics in 1988 and a Masters in

Business Administration (MBA) From the Lagos State University in 2006,.with a specialty in Marketing.

She has, in the past 28 years, been involved in full-time Secretarial and administrative practice. She is adept at training especially for professional Secretaries and Consultants.

Since 2009, she has been a business development specialist for small and medium-scale enterprises, with focus on strategies for business growth and development and also providing advisory and support services.

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, (ICSAN).She is an active member of the Institute involved (Both Past and Present) in various Committees viz:

  • MEMBERSHIP & BRANCH LIAISON COMMITTEE
  • PUBLIC PRACTICE GROUP(PPG)
  • ICSAN CONFERENCE & AGM COMMITTEE
  • ICSAN COMMITTEE ON ROUNDTABLE FOR CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
  • MEMBER, INVESTIGATION PANEL.
  • ICSAN EXAMINER

She is currently a Council member of ICSAN.

He is a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, where he obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting in 2000. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant., having passed her examinations with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He is an Associate member of the Institute.

He is an Associate Partner of the firm in charge of Tax and advisory services.  

He has worked in several other organizations before joining the Firm

  • Business development and identify new prospective opportunity
  • Lectures at some Institute of Chartered Accountants training centres

 

Job responsibilities includes but not limited to:-

  • Compile/examine/analyse inspection reports and highlight trends/issues for management attention
  • Ensure appropriate follow-up/ implementation of audit recommendations and regularly advise Chief Inspector on status
  • Act as consultant to Management in respect of control issues
  • Reviewing client WHT obligation to confirm whether correct rate where applied
  • Reviewing client payroll vis-à-vis salaries and wages general ledger to confirm adequacy of the PAYE computed
  • Reviewing the methodology of output VAT computation
  • Pre tax audit and investigation review
  • Tax planning

  • Reviewing of client’s internal control system
  • Vouching of items in the trial balance
  • Verification of assets and liabilities
  • Preparation of client final account and updating of accounting records
  • Drafting of management letter for manager’s review.
  • Preparation of fixed asset schedule

He is a graduate of the Lagos State University with a B.sc in Secretarial Administration. He started work with the firm on January, 16th 1993. He has, in the past 23 years, been involved in full time Secretarial and Administrative practice. He is very vast in the various aspect of the business and can conveniently handle them effectively.

There are other senior and junior staff employed in various departments with relevant skills and qualification to assist in the operations of the firm.
